California electricians license

Until recently, the only person doing liberal arts electrical work and required to be licensed was the Electrical contractor. However, now even to practise as an electrician in the State of California you need a California electricians’ license.

Not only in California but other states too require that all electricians must be licensed. There are several types of electricians. To name a few, General Apprentice, General Journeyman, General Supervisor. All these three are required to be licensed if they are to perform construction electrical work.

The types of licences that are issued includes such categories as Electrical Contractor (Business license), Electrical Sign Contractor (Business license), Master Electrician , Master Sign Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Sign Electrician, Residential Wireman, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Apprentice and Electrical Sign Apprentice.
