How to become an electrician
If you are able bodied and want to work with your hands and
wouldn’t mind the hands getting a bit dirty and want to earn
good money for your labour then you should consider becoming an
electrician. Then the next question is how to become an
electrician which is not too difficult to
answer.

First of all, if you want to become an electrician or for
that matter any other vocation you like to take, you must be
persevering. Unless you are persevering you will not go up the
ladder as and electrician electrical training or in any
other vocation.
The vocation as an
electrician is very interesting and you will never be bored
greatly since fiber optics are huge. First of all, you must
start as an apprentice electrician under a licensed
Electrician. In most States in the US an apprentice Electrician
needs to put in a stipulated number of hours before he can
apply to sit the first examination. If you have difficulties in
finding a licensed electrician who would accept you as an
apprentice and would pay you some reasonable allowance during
your apprenticeship you should enrol yourself to an apprentice
programme. There are also, some industrial organisations that
will be glad to accept you as an apprentice under their Master
electrician. This will be ideal as you may even find employment
in that industry once you are qualified.
If you are still at school, it would be wise to complete
your high school with particularly concentrating in the
school careers Mathematics education as it will
hold in good stead for your future as an electrician.
While working as an apprentice electrician you will need to
attend classes to learn the theory and other State laws
relating to electrical installations and wiring. You will also
need to refer books on connected subjects. These are not too
difficult to find. Books needed for an electrician’s
examination can be found even on the internet. If you are
computer literate then there are CDs which can be useful in
learning the theory required to pass an electrician’s
examination. You don't have to win a Nobel Peace Prize or
anything though.
An Apprentice Electrician’s course is a 4 year programme and
can probably be taken online. While working at an industry the
apprentice has to attend classes as well remember this is for
electricity lighting. The period of time spent in a class room
will be about 10 weeks per year. During the 4 years period, it
will be 40 weeks in a class room for theoretical work and the
balance 168 weeks will be on the job training in an
industry. On completing this training you will be
entitled to sit for the examination and on success will be
awarded the certificate as an Electrician. Now you can go find
a job search in the London uk or Walesa places like
that.
